Who We Are
Our Roots
ROME-D knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by but through the actions of our initiatives. Founded in 2020, our Non-Profit Organization realizes that by working together we can overcome our challenges much more efficiently and help medical clinics around Los Angeles. We are an organization that is committed to donating medical and wellness supplies to hospitals and clinics in need. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs.
Our Mission
Bringing Change
Resources for Medical Equality (R.O.M.E) is a charity centered around mobilizing and educating youth to improve the healthcare crisis in Los Angeles. We believe that everyone deserves the right to medical equality and access to well-funded and safe medical facilities, which is often not a reality in our contemporary society. We aim to assemble Los Angeles youth to collect needed and valuable resources and donations for distribution amongst free medical clinics in need.
Cookies For A Cause!
Our first major project as an organization! We spent almost every day during the summer of 2019 baking cookies to sell door to door around different neighborhoods. We spent hours baking cookies and knocking on doors selling our baked goods.
Collaborations and Youth Panels
The Bandage Project and ROME Donations collaborated in hosting a youth panel about combating social stigmas surrounding mental health. We invited other organizations, like Healthcare For All-Los Angeles and By Any Means at UCI, and our followers to engage in a discussion surrounding societal stigmas in mental health, but also in healthcare, education and youth.

Clinics/Communities We Donate To
Our goal is to help as many clinics as possible, but to start off, we have started our with three groups that need our attention and support. These clinics are always there for their communities, even during these painful times, and we wanted to make their jobs easier...
1. Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic: This clinic has helped over one million individuals in healthcare services. They have been active for over 51 years. They have a dedicated team who actively assists those who are low-income, underinsured, or even uninsured. We have donated $1000 dollars to this clinic in both monetary funds and supplies.

2. Los Angeles Community Hospital: This local hospital provides accessible and compassionate medical help to all Angelinos.
3. Planned Parenthood: This is a nonprofit organization that helps individuals of all economic and cultural backgrounds. They provide safe services, specifically in reproductive health. We have worked with this organization by donating a monetary fund to better serve the Los Angeles community.

4. Los Angeles Homeless Community: The Los Angeles Homeless Community is suffering severely, especially from the COVID-19 Pandemic. The lack of government support and finances have caused mass amounts of homeless people to be vulnerable to the virus. We have created care packages that are useful in staying safe during the pandemic. These packages include a plentiful supply of masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, toothbrushes and toothpaste, as well as water.

In her free time, she loves to ride horses and is on the equestrian team at her school. Ava focuses on clinic and donation outreach and establishes a personal relationship that strengthens our connections and overall goal.
Katherine: Katherine's passions include art, politics and history. She loves to be surrounded by nature, enjoys traveling and is involved in her local Youth and Government program. Her constant support is visible in her position as the CFO, as well as her efficiency in planning and executing events.

Sabrina: Sabrina's favorite subjects are computer science and history and she aspires to study business. In her free time, Sabrina loves to travel or play a match of tennis. Sabrina's passion for healthcare is displayed in the organization as she is the Web Development Manager and Vice Financial Officer.

Simona: Simona loves helping animals and others around her. Simona's cheerful and optimistic mindset helps her run an entertaining social media page as well as being an active member of her school's cheerleading team.
